परिचय
नेपालमा जन्मिएका सुजन दाहाल जापानमा उच्च शिक्षा अध्ययन गरेका छन्। भाषा, यात्रा, सङ्गीत र दर्शनप्रति रुचि राख्ने उनी प्रेम, एकान्त, स्मृति र आत्म-अन्वेषणका कथाहरू लेख्छन्। ‘आश्रय’ उनको पहिलो उपन्यास हो।
Sujan Dahal was born in Nepal. Before he left, he worked in Rautahat: translating between international sponsors and the families they funded, and running financial-literacy sessions for the NGO Aasaman Nepal. Both jobs put him in rooms where a child's education came down to whether the money arrived. That is where the scholarship pledge behind his first novel comes from.
He went to Japan for graduate study and took a master's in Web Business Technology at the Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics, specialising in web system development. In Kyoto he also coached English conversation with the Tomonokai Global Education Team, and worked shifts at a convenience store — the ordinary years that much of आश्रय is made of.
He writes in Nepali about love, solitude, memory and self-enquiry, and is interested in language, travel, music and philosophy. He also builds web systems; that work lives here.

लेख्न सुरु गर्दा मलाई यो पुस्तक किन लेखिरहेको छु भन्ने थाहा थिएन।
मलाई केवल यति थाहा थियो — मनभित्र केही थियो, जुन मौन बस्न मानिरहेको थिएन।
